Warrior 1st

WARRIOR 1st Morning Routine

A strong morning routine gives you small victories early, and those wins multiply over time into bigger success across your whole life. This is where i originally came up with ” WARRIOR 1st”

I get asked often, what is my morning routine?

I personally believe that having a morning routine is powerful because it sets the tone for your entire day. ESPECIALLY if you’re busy!

Almost ALL high achievers, athletes, and top entrepreneurs have morning routines. That said, SOME OF THE BEST, like ( Alex Hormozzi), don’t have one. Hormozzi claims he get’s up, grabs his coffee, locks himself in a room with zero distractions, and puts in the work! As one of the most successful, wealthy, and jacked dude’s in the game, how do you argue with him? YOU CANT!

Over the years I have tried multiple morning routines. Some have taken up to a few hours, and others I try to be like Hormozzi, and get right to work.

As a busy dad, business builder, chaotic entrepreneur mindset and struggling through my athletic career I was having trouble dialing in my days. I couldn’t figure out what was going on. I couldn’t put it all together, and i thought i was great at time management, multi tasking, and wearing all the hats……What was going wrong?

Again, this is ultimately where ” WARRIOR 1st” started.

Some days I had to be dad first, other days i was jumping out of bed straight to work, and if i had a fight coming up, training came first. I NEVER felt present in any arena, and i felt like i was failing in all of them. I didn’t know what came first! Fatherhood should right? Well what about work? If my opponent is training, i should be up training before him, and more then him! That should come first. I was never fully locked in.

Then it hit me, that famous scene in 300 when King Leonidas is leading his troops to battle, and he asks them. “Spartans what is your profession!?!?!” And they all shout “AROO AROO AROO!!!!” It’s a deep, powerful war cry, kind of like a battle bark, meant to pump up the warriors, intimidate the enemy, and unify the Spartan soldiers as one unstoppable force.

The Spartan soldiers were all fathers, husbands, workers, and soldiers. They would get up before everyone else was up, before the sun got up, and they would drink coffee, train, and converse with each other. Then they could be present for there families, and community.

WARRIOR 1st MENTALITY! – Get up before the rest of the rest of the world gets up, get your MOST IMPORTANT shit done, and then take care of the tribe! BOOOM!

I became a WARRIOR FIRST! I dialed in a morning routine that sets me up for whatever comes my way that day! I defined it into a full human optimization plan that will literally have you conquering any dream, or battle life throws your way!

It takes 30 minutes…Here it is:

  • Wake at consistent time (even weekends)
  • 16oz water with sea salt, hydro tablets, and aminos immediately
  • 2-min cold shower (starts metabolism)
  • 5-min mobility routine
  • Sunlight or red light exposure (regulates hormones)
  • MENTAL CLARITY STACK 10-min meditation/prayer
  • 3 things you’re grateful journaling
  • Daily purpose reminder Set 3 priority tasks (non-negotiables)
  • PHYSICAL OPTIMIZATION Fasted cardio or lifting (choice depends on goals)
  • Protein-first breakfast (30-40g)
  • Supplement stack with breakfast

PERFORMANCE HACKS

  • Prepare everything night before
  • No phone until tasks complete
  • Work in 50/10 intervals
  • Process email in batches, not continuously

ENVIRONMENT SETUP

  • Make bed immediately
  • Clean workspace
  • Positive input only (no news/social first hour)

CONSISTENCY > PERFECTION

Win the morning, WIN THE FUCKING DAY!!

Top Reasons a Morning Routine is Good

  1. You Take Control Early
Before the world throws distractions at you (texts, emails, problems), you’ve already conquered part of your day.
You act proactively instead of reacting all day.
  2. Builds Momentum
Winning small in the morning (like making your bed, working out, reading) gives you a quick sense of achievement.
That early momentum carries into everything else you do.
  3. Strengthens Discipline and Consistency
Showing up for yourself first thing trains your mind to be disciplined, even when motivation is low.
It becomes part of your identity (“I’m the kind of person who gets things done”).
  4. Sharpens Your Focus
A good morning routine can clear your mind, sharpen your priorities, and help you stay focused instead of scattered.
(Especially important for kids and entrepreneurs.)
  5. Improves Physical and Mental Health
Morning movement, hydration, healthy food, sunlight, breathwork: these habits boost energy, metabolism, mood, and clarity for the whole day.
  6. Hardens You Against Stress
When you start your day with intentional effort (instead of rushing or scrambling), you’re less affected by stress later.
  7. Instills Confidence
Keeping promises to yourself each morning builds self-trust.
You start believing: “If I say I’ll do it, I do it.”
    Confidence naturally follows.

I hope you enjoyed this, and it helps you start to take action towards building that inner Warrior we all need in this game of life were all playing.
